[ HOMRA's bar was surprisingly quiet and empty today, but it had been cleared for negotiation purposes. The Clan's Alpha didn't get petition requests often - and certainly not from anyone not associated with one of the other Clans - and normally this meeting wouldn't have even been considered. But there were special circumstances involved in this meeting, ones that revolved around the Omega being offered up in the pact and the very vehement persistence of HOMRA's third in command, the Vanguard of the Clan.
Misaki Yata didn't normally involve himself in Clan politics - that was not his forte, that was Izumo's job. He was the one called in on the rare occasion that negotiations failed or when Mikoto wasn't interested in them to begin with, and he was perfectly fine with that. But this.... this was something different. He had a personal interest in this. And Niki Fushimi hadn't been wrong in thinking that using the Vanguard's soft spot to get himself in the door was a clever tactic.
However, clever as he might be, he still wasn't prepared to deal with Izumo, the King's second. Izumo had his own agenda in working with his King to see these negotiations through. And while remaining languidly quiet during the debates and discussions, Mikoto's eyes were just as keen and intense, missing as little as his Second.
They might not know this Omega at all, but they knew Yata. Despite him being the youngest and newest Alpha in their Clan, he was already a force to be reckoned with. It had come up in discussions a time or two already about him showing no interest in the Betas or Omegas of the Clan who had not yet been claimed, since an Alpha without a partner had a much harder time controlling their tempers and moods. As far as Yata had shown so far, they might as well not have existed at all, although the females still sent him into a blushing flustered retreat every time they propositioned him.
Today was different, though. Today Yata's demeanor had changed the moment he'd followed his King and Second into the room and took up his place behind Mikoto's left shoulder. His gaze had narrowed, stance imperceptibly angled - not towards his Alphas or even the Beta across the table who sat there with a smug self-assured smirk. No, the entire room had faded out as his attention fixed on the Omega kneeling beside his father's chair, head bowed, his pose the perfect picture of subservience. It instantly ramped the tension up in the room a hundredfold and even Mikoto and Izumo had been startled by the sudden shift in attitude from him.
It had certainly lent an interesting atmosphere for the negotiations, something both Mikoto and Izumo had delved into with single-minded deliberation after a single exchanged glance between them. Even if they hadn't had their minds made up about the end results of this negotiation before sitting down at this table, they were focused now and united in purpose. As far as the King was concerned, the Omega was now theirs. Or, more specifically, he was now Yata's. All that was left was the finer details to make it so.
Not that Izumo had any intention of letting this man get away from anything and his shrewd intelligence brought a sharp smile to his own lips as he started debating terms. The bartering went on for what felt like hours and finally Mikoto lifted a hand and sent Yata from the room because if the Alpha grew anymore agitated at his side he was going to spur the remaining Alphas in the room to do something regrettable. Not to mention it was starting to affect the Omega - something even Mikoto could notice from across the table.
So Yata got kicked out to pace in the back hallway, practically snarling with impatience, while Izumo delivered the final offer and got the signature from the still-smug Beta. Who hadn't yet figured out how badly he'd been outmaneuvered, but no one was all that inclined to enlighten him yet. It's only when one of the other Betas arrives to escort Niki to the door does Mikoto motion for Yata to come back into the room, then gestures to the still-kneeling Omega left behind. ]
He's yours.

He knew what it meant, of course. He also knew there was no way in hell he'd ever be with a third-rank Alpha, even if just being around Yata as he got more and more frustrated was driving Saru mad with the need to soothe him, to let Yata fuck him until they both felt better. As the negotiations went on, though, Fushimi began to notice that this second Alpha was doing all the talking and that he was also screwing his father over so badly it'd be a miracle if he could walk the next day. Most people got something of value from an Omega trade, money or promises or whatever, and Fushimi knew he was a valuable Omega. He was very intelligent, very pretty, and a complete virgin. His father should have been able to make bank on this sale.
Instead, Niki was walking out of here with nothing but a piece of paper that said he was giving his son to the HOMRA clan's third alpha in exchange for never stepping foot in HOMRA territory and a voucher worth ten bucks.
He can't believe it's happened. He stays perfectly still when Niki leaves and Misaki returns, not sure if moving would ruin this perfect dream.]

So when Mikoto offers no challenge whatsoever and instead motions his permission in the direction of the waiting Alpha, it's enough to still him in utter surprise. But Mikoto's already pushing back from the table, pulling out a cigarette to light before turning and strolling from the room. Izumo, wearing a bemused sort of smile of his own, follows him out.
Yata stares after them in silence a moment before letting his gaze drift back to the kneeling omega, now that they have the room to themselves. He swallows, his mouth dry, his fingers curled at his sides to restrain the urge to reach. If he gets his hands on Saru here, he's not going to let go. And he's pretty sure Izumo would be really unhappy with him later if he did that.
So instead he clears his throat and calls his new Omega's name, his voice hoarse and strained. ]
Saru.

Fushimi flinches at hearing that name but it gets his attention and he looks up. He doesn't stand, though.]
...Misaki?
no subject
Yeah. It's me. Come here.
no subject
...still a shorty.
no subject
When he's within reach, Yata stretches out an arm to fist fingers in Saru's shirt and tug him closer, smirking up at him. ]
Yeah, I guess I am. That just means I'll have to make you kneel for me, right?
[ He's not going to lie, the prospect of that has his eyes going dark with anticipation.
Saru is his. He can barely believe it. ]
no subject
The only time you'll ever be taller than anyone, you know. I'm pretty sure that little girl I saw is taller than you, Mi~sa~ki.
[Should an Omega tease his Alpha like this? No. Is Saru going to do it anyway? Yes.]
no subject
Maybe an Omega shouldn't be this challenging in the face of a new Alpha getting ready to claim him, but honestly, Yata wouldn't have him any other way. ]
She's not, for the record. But you'll get to meet her and the rest of them later, so you can see for yourself.
[ ...Not for a while later, though. he has other things they need to take care of first. ]
no subject
Saru shies away from Misaki's hand for the briefest moment before relaxing. That probably answers every question about what Niki did to "prepare" his "disgusting Omega son".]
Oh? Didn't think you'd be the sharing, flaunting type, Misaki~
[More teasing! Because that distracts everyone from the fact that a Beta was worse to his son than any Alpha ever would be.]
no subject
This time, in response to the flippant dismissal, he meets Saru's gaze evenly, because they're' going to have to work to make sure on the same page here and there's some things he wants to make sure Saru understands from the start. ]
I won't share you. Not like that. You're mine and no one else is going to lay so much as a finger on you.
[ Because there were very clear boundaries set down and maintained within HOMRA - necessary when the Clan was made up with as many possessive hotheads as it was. ]
no subject
But he isn't, and Misaki is still talking, and Saru can't believe what he's hearing]
Really? There's at least three Alphas in this clan, and none of you share?
no subject
[ Which happens to involve a Beta from the Blue Clan, but that's an entirely different matter.
He reaches out and slides his hand lightly along Saru's arm, maintaining contact but trying to keep it to something the Omega might not find too alarming or threatening. ]
You're mine. No one else's.
no subject
[That's a good start. He leans into that touch, and then further into Misaki's very tempting scent.]
Tch. What, do you already have a collar before we've even mated?
no subject
No, but that's easily fixed. I'd want one that's meant just for you anyway, so we'll take care of that... after.
[ He's relieved that Saru doesn't mind some of the touches. He'll take that as encouragement for now. But standing here talking isn't going to get them anywhere, so he lets his hand slide down to lace his fingers with Saru's, giving him a light tug. ]
Come on. My apartment's downstairs, below the bar. You'll be staying there with me.
no subject
[Just a heads up. He follows after Misaki, staying close]
Do you still not drink milk?
no subject
[ The bar is still quiet and empty, meaning they don't come across anyone on their way to the doorway that leads to the stairs down into Yata's rooms beneath the bar. He never releases Saru's hand, guiding him along with him as he leads the way. Although that comment gets a scoff and a glance over his shoulder at the Omega. ]
Ehh? Are you still obsessing over my height? Stop worrying. It just means stupid people underestimate me when they see me, and I'm fine with that.
no subject
Just wondering. Never thought I'd have a tiny Alpha, though.
[Not that he's complaining]
Why do you have the basement?
no subject
[ Yata shrugs, because it makes the most logical sense, considering what they had to work with. Besides, if anyone was stupid enough to try and attack here, they'd have Mikoto and the other Betas descending from above while Yata closed off their escape from the rear. It would end badly for anyone who tried.
Still, he glances back at Saru as he leads him down the stairs, a look of uncertainty flickering across his face for a moment. Despite the way he'd been hyper-aware of the Omega from the moment he'd laid eyes on him, he had no idea how Saru felt about this... ]
Are you okay with that? With me being your Alpha? [He realized now that maybe he should have made sure of that earlier.... ]
no subject
If that other Alpha hadn't sent you away, I would have crawled over to give you a blow job to calm you down, Misaki. I was moments away from doing it.
no subject
Well. That certainly would have made negotiations interesting. And here I thought Mikoto sent me away just because I was about five seconds away from lunging across the table and tearing that assholes's throat out with my teeth.
no subject
...if you'd done that, I'd've offered more than a blow job.
[Just saying.]
You're the only Alpha I can tolerate, Misaki. You have been since before we presented.
no subject
So you're okay with this? With being my Omega. I need to know that before we go any further.
no subject
Saru nods]
I am.

As they kiss, though, Fushimi reaches for something in his pocket to press into Yata's hand. It's a pill bottle, containing one pill that will induce his heat, should Misaki want to go about it that way.
Saru kind of hope he does.]
